Bula Vinaka bloggers!
This is a bridge I made it was super cool!
One thing I enjoyed about the task was that we could make some little bridges on this site
I found it easy because we have a ruler at home, I imagine it was hard for those with no rulers at home.
One thing I found hard was actually nothing!
I loved this task and you should try it out
Also hey if you don't have the link to the summer learning journey you can go on your class site or just bookmark this link but I assume you have it but it's ok if you don't
Have a Lovely day <3
Here is the video so sorry
Kia ora Karolina. Your bridge sounds great but I can't see any pictures or links to it. Maybe you could add some on?
ReplyDeleteHi Phil I'm so sorry I just added it now
DeleteThanks Karolina. Were the shells to test out how much it could hold? And did you manage to complete your 40cm bridge? I guess the ruler wasn't long enough to stretch across?
DeleteYeah Hi Phil My Ruler wasn't long enough to strech across haha

Ka mau te wehi! It looks amazing!! I was very impressed with your mahi, I can see that you put a lot of time and effort into it. I can see that you have put a lot of thought into creating the bridge and that you clearly thought what the best structure for the bridge would be. It is Super awesome to hear that you enjoyed the task. I was also very impressed by the creativity that you applied in the design of your bridge. The one thing I really enjoy about your work and your posts is the positivity that you put into it- Ka Pai!!! Did you know that the oldest bridge in the world that is still used is a slab-stone single-arch bridge over the river Meles in Izmir in Turkey, which dates from c. 850 BCE.
If you had to make a real bridge what materials would you use and why?
Keep up the Super work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!
Ngā mihi,

Hi Quein Thanks I try to be really positive when I can! WOAH I AM SO IMPRESSED ABOUT THAT BRIDGE THEY MUST'VE REALLY HAD A GOOD STRUCTURE!!! If I had to make a real bridge I would probably make it out of stone or concrete since those seem like really hard materials, I think I might have a very curved structure just so it can be balanced by big beams,I think there would be about three beams, one in the cntre one on left and one on the right. Thanks Quein!!!!

Thank you for your reply, that is a very logical and well done answer. I really enjoy your intellectual and logical approach to problem solving. It is Great to see that you have thought a lot about designing a bridge. I was especially impressed that you emphasized that a bridge needs to be balanced. This shows you have a good grasp of critical thinking which is an excellent characteristic to have- Ka Pai!!!
Excellent work!!!
Keep up the Amazing work!!! I am really looking forward to your next post.
