A song I made for this summer

Today we had to make a song...! I was a bit scared for this since I would have to uh SING!!!! I can sing alright if I know the people around me but... since I went outside, DUDE IT SCARED ME! If People heard me I would've been so, well scared mostly. I tried to not seem cringey but I just couldn't, if you know how I felt then ya know I guess...? I mean other than the singing bit I enjoyed this task!

As you know something I found hard was the SINGING

Something I found super fun and easy was making the beats and the background music :)

I think I would rather be one of the background people in a music video than the person who sings

If you could be a singer what would you sing/write about! 

I'm going to give YOU a challenge!  Bula Vinaka Bloggers this is a new summer learning task and it turned out really fun!

Today we had to make a text graphic! I enjoyed it very much! When it came to the point where we had to get a photo from our own camera it turned our really easy:) My Mother likes to take photos of pretty thing and one of those things were a sunset. I loved the way the sunset looked so I asked her to send me the photo and she did! I downloaded it and now I got it.

Sorry I haven't been posting I have just been a little bit of track but yes let's move on to the REAL topic.

So Today I have a Haiku Poetry thing. Haiku's are usually about nature and there has to be three lines, the first line has to have 5 syllables the second line is 7 syllables and the 3 is the same as the first, 5 syllables. My Haiku was about Summer and how to safe. Cicada Song!

Today I'm going to be sharing to you about the thing I learnt about cicada's and their song. 

First off here is my cicada song  

My Cicada song Kind of sounds like a Cicada Because It's High Pitched and very annoying :)

Cicada's Make their sound to attract female Cicada's. They Make it high Pitched so the females can hear it right away and quickly so nothing eats them before they can get a "wife" or "girlfriend"

My sound is saying to other " GO AWAYYYY I DON'T WANNA MATE PLEASE STOP SINGING "

Yesterdays Summer learning task!

 Bula Vinaka Bloggers and today I'm going to be sharing and talking about the Cicada SLJ Task! It was mostly about learning about cicada's. It Interesting to read about the life cycle of a nymph I was wondering if After A lady Cicada lays her eggs if she can mate again, I mean just asking the more cicada's the better I guess. I enjoyed this task and I just wanted to say that I am so surprised that there are 43 different types of Cicada's In New Zealand!!!

another thing I learnt were soundscapes! they are another way of storytelling they can be in a from of words with music they can also create a music idea as mine is a DRAMATIC AND TRAGIC SAD ENDING STORY (it's a love story the ending is sad because their love died in a car crash and flew off the edge of a cliff and yes, I just made that up)

How making my animation turned out

Bula VInaka bloggers! Today I am going to be talking about how doing/making my animation turned out! One thing I enjoyed about my animation was making the characters, it was good fun to make them Something I found easy was doing ctrl c and ctrl v to get all the copies of slides! I think I found it a bit hard to find the type of background I wanted, some of them did not even relate to what I googled If I could change something about my animation I wouyld change the way I made the bodies, They look nice but a bit to basic. Today is world kindness day!!! !ALERT FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE CHALLENGES!

Today is World Kindness day! World Kindness day started in 1997 in Tokyo. I usually help my Mum with the cooking and my godmother who is 79 years old with little things. I try to listen to my teachers and I don't  talk back to my Mum. Once when I was 3 me and my mum went to the city and we saw a man on the street asking for money and we invited him to go have lunch with us. After that we took him to the countdown and brought him food. We had no idea who this man was!!! We gave him some extra money too:)  At my church we donate food and money to people. I also donate my unused clothes and old toys.  If you would like to donate some money go to carita’s 

Would you rather be a teacher for the day or a principal for a day?

Bula Vinaka bloggers this is our very last would you rather for the year.... This One is an interesting topic! So would you rather be a teacher FOR THE DAY or a principal FOR THE DAY. I would rather be a teacher so I could teach the children fun topics and we could play heaps of games! One reason i would like to be a teacher FOR THE DAY is so that I can teach everyone some drummm rolll please......RESPECT!!! If I was the teacher I would NOT put up with a class full of DISRESPECT I would have to teach them respect. Being a teacher might be hard but it must be ok right? I would like to be the teacher so I can tell everyone what to do and so I can give them things to do. I would set up writing tasks it will all be creative writing. Those are my reasons to be the teacher FOR A DAY but what would you rather be? Principal or a teacher tell me down in the comments

Well you might be wondering "Karolina I'm not in your'e class I don't know what a kindness wheel does and what it is?!" Okay well I am gonna tell you, so basically a kindness  wheel has a whole bunch of things that are kind and loving that you can do. You put a whole bunch of nice things you can do to make your mental health and others mental health all good. My potion of forgetness (potion of forgetting)

 How to make the forgetness spell (spell of forgetting)

If you have done something terribly wrong to someone and you want them to forget about it then this is the spell for you!

Ingredients

Ancient ogre eye 

Lava

Breath of a witch (it can not be your own)

Water from the lake of china

1 piece of wizards cloak 

20 Spider legs

10 witches toenails 

A giants saliva or spit 

5 pieces of monkey hair

Method ( YOU MUST DO IT EXACTLY LIKE THIS!)

1. Cut the ancient ogre eye in half then spit on it and throw it in the pot 

2. Pour the lava into the pot and mix until it gets red

3. Pour the water from the lake of china onto the lava 

4. Crush your wizards cloak and drop it in

5. Sprinkle the spider legs into the pot 

6. Dunk the toenails into the pot and mix it hard

7. Pour the saliva or spit until it feels mushy 

8. Cut the monkey hair up then mash it up and pour it in 

If your potion is done it should be a neon yellow i hope your potion works GOODBYE

SPOOOKYYYY HALLOWEEN WRITING

Bula bloggers this is some SPOOOOKYYY Halloween writing i did yesterday

It was a stormy night and I got kicked out of the house. There was nowhere to go until I saw a big house, It looked like a mansion! I decided to go and knock on the door. I needed shelter. I was soaking wet. I knocked on the door and said ‘’ Hello is anyone home?’ they answered back and said ‘agghh go away this is the spirit land’ i was terrified but i said ‘ um i am actually alone and uh i kind of got kicked out and i am really scared please just let me in’ the scary voice said ‘ ahhh you are alone perfect,perfect yes yes you can come in just don't get SCARED’ i went inside and i looked around i asked the man what his name was he said ‘ oh my name well we don’t remember our names after we come into the name takers house but don't worry this isn't his house they call me thunder, ya know why well they call me thunder because i showed up on the doorstep in a thunder’ thunder showed me to a spare room i could stay in i saw some blood on wall and the floor creaked i heard voices saying ‘ welcome to the underworld have a nice stay’ i didn’t sleep. I got up and walked around, I saw skeletons and people that were eating HEADS! The floor creaked, the doors creaked EVERYTHING CREAKED, THE TAP CREAKED THE BATH CREAKED AND YOU KNOW WHAT I DON'T EVEN WANT TO GO IN THE BATHTUB. The bathtub had blood all over it and the water had blood and it looked like no one ever cleaned around the house. Everything was rusty and very old. I saw a typewriter and the ribbon that goes with the typewriter. I felt like i was in the 1970’s nothing looked new and nothing looked clean. I was trying to get out but the door was jammed ( you know because it was old and basically abandoned) I noticed that there was no storm  going on outside. I think I was seeing things it couldn't have already been the next day. When i was looking at myself in a mirror i saw someone behind me their head was chopped off, i turned around but there was none the when i looked back at the mirror it said ‘ the head that those people were eating was my head they killed me and they are gonna kill you’ i said aloud ‘ why did they kill you, why are they gonna kill me!?’ They wrote on the mirror and said they kill humans and eat them. These people you see are a part of the human hater cult, they eat humans they say we killed their kind even though there are still about 7,000 of them’ i knew i wasn't in a safe place i HAD to escape. I thanked the ghost and grabbed a wooden axe that I saw in a closet. I was trying to break down the window but at that moment I noticed that someone was behind me AGAIN. This time it was one of the human hater cult people who said ‘ if you are trying to escape you won't it's either you stay here with us in this hell or you DIE!’ he pushed me off the window and i fell on the concrete ground and smashed my head, my blood flowed around the concrete and he chuckled and said’ HAHAHA NO ONE COMES IN AND NO ONE COMES OUT’ and the moral of the story is never going is anyone's home and never talk to strangers! Good bye and SCARY HALLOWEEN

Today I'm going to tell you about my animation. My animation is about a fish that gets caught by some bait and gets cooked and turns into fish and chips there is more to my animation but your going to have to check it out yourself. The thing i enjoyed about this activity was that it was something new! i had fun doing my animation i came up with some other  idea's but i liked the fish and chips one the most it was also the most yummy choice ( not really if you see my animation) the thing that was a bit hard about this was the movement i tried to make it look as real as possible but i did some cuts. There are also some parts where you guys have to read and not just see:)

 Hi bloggers today we are gonna do our brand new would you rather (ITS THE FIRST ONE OF THE TERM) would you like to know the topic? Drum roll please the topic of the day is...... WOULD YOU RATHER BE A SPACE TOURIST OR SAVE THAT MONEY TO HELP THE EARTH!!!! Well this is what I would do 

 

I would rather save my money to save the earth because all this is OUR planet and people are destroying it. I could grow a garden in my yard and try to use less plastic. I would use the money I saved to help family's and young children in country's that are in war. I could use some of that money to buy food for a family. I could provide clothes and shelter for homeless people. I could replant trees with all the money I saved. I would not like to be in space because what if I am peacefully floating around, AND MY OXYGEN RUNS OUT!? On earth trees to help me breath and also I just like earth more than space :D

Scary

 Hi bloggers 

So a couple days ago Someone next door to me got shot. There was someone zooming in a car and then they shot the person through the window. The sad thing is my mum could've been shot since she was outside. There were police people with guns and we saw the ambulance. 

I was terrified to go outside the next day but then I was fine. I'm doing alright now but it's still a bit scared. It was scary hearing the big bang and seeing the person go in the ambulance.I

I have just been praying for all my friends close to where I live and for the family. It's a bit scary having police WITH GUNS around my house. They came and asked questions to my mum and me and my nana, they just asked what we heard and what we saw. I will not tell you more than that

Did you know it's Fijian language week and this year's theme is, "Noqu vosa ai vakadei ni noqu tiko vinaka". Translation, " my language provides stability to my wellbeing". We are celebrating Fijian language week this week from the 3rd to the 10th. 

Fiji was officially granted independence on October 10 1970,after 96 years of British colonial rule. On the same day in 1874, the deed of cession was signed by King Seru Epenisa Cakoau to commence British rule in Fiji. Both the cession of control and independence are celebrated among Fijians.

We are celebrating 51 years of independence!

I would rather not move for one hour because if I was in a relaxing pose then I could just relax. It's kind of the same thing because if you can't move at all then how are you gonna talk!? I would just make sure I'm lying down on my bed. If I'm lying down on my bed I could take a nap. If I wasn't lying down on my bed I would probably be annoyed.

What I do for my mental health 😃

 What I do for my mental health 

For my mental health I like to sing and listen to music. Sometimes I like to make up my own songs. I listen to different types of music. Most of the time I can learn the lyrics by heart! 

Another thing I like to do for my mental health is cooking. I help my mum cook dinner. Sometimes I decide to cook my own dinner. Me and my mum bake pie together and when we make the custard we sometimes put colors in it.

I also like to exercise in the morning. I do some stretches before I go to Google meetings. I always make sure to click at least one finger before I do anything. When I exercise it makes me feel happy. It makes me not so lazy.

Another thing that I do is affirmations in the morning. Now you might know what an affirmation is. An affirmation is something that you can do to make you feel confident. All you have to do is say some positive things about yourself. You can say things like "I am kind, I am beautiful,I am smart, I am loved and I am brave. When you say your affirmation you HAVE to mean it, if not then what is the point of saying it!?

Ingredients

1 cup full of Fresh vomit

5 Freshly picked boogers

20 Leaves

3 Smooth frog legs

7 Hard toe nails

1 Rotten fish

 2 Expired pizza 

5 Cups full of water

Utensils

Huge spoon

Huge pot

Huge fork 

How to make dish

Pour everything in (except the leaves!)

Mix together until it looks rotten 

Mash the leaves with the fork

Add the leaves in

Stir pot around till it looks like liquid

Then serve to friends and family! I hope they enjoy it

!WARNING YOU COULD GET INTENSE DIARRHEA AFTER EATING THIS DISH!

Let's Appreciate!

 Hi bloggers!

I just wanted to say thank you to all the teachers out there because they have been really resilient and always trying to be positive. They have been making sure we are still learning. They always put up work for us (that might be a lot of work!?). I want to say thank you for all the hard work the teachers are doing to keep us learning (even when we don't want to). I want to say thank you to the parents as well I would like to thank my mum and all the other parents for providing us with a roof, internet and food. We are very lucky for the things we have because there are children out there who don't even have food. I thank the teacher's for being at school taking care of the kids with essential workers parent's. Thank you for all your hard work parents and teacher AND US KIDS. I think we have been doing a good job, most of us have been doing the work and going on the meet, we have cooperated with this long lockdown AND with delta. 

WE ARE DOING GOOD!

Level 3 tips

So today is the second day of level 3. I have some tips for what you should do during level 3.

1. Stay home 

2. Go get a test (if your 12+)

3. If your not 12+ you can go get one of those things where they put something up your nose 

4. Don't go straight to McDonald's or KFC ok (I know you want to though)

5.  If you have symptoms please go and get a test

6. Still stay 2 meters and scan QR codes

7. Remember to wear masks

8. Even though it's level 3 it doesn't mean you can have friends or family

9. Keep your bubble to a small number

10. Go outside and breath in some fresh air maybe read a book, I don't know what you want to do?

Monday 20th september 

Hello today when i went to trick training i had to try and shake someone's dirty hands! There were other dogs there too but I heard that I was gonna start PRIVATE dog training. After dog training I went to go play with the labrador next door. My owner said I was going to the vet. I was so sad, Lab said I was lucky but I didn't feel lucky. When we got to the vet they looked all over my teeth (but it was worth it because I got a treat!) Eventually we got home and I went to go see the new poodle next door. She said she was too busy playing dress up with her owner ( I was a bit sad). So I just went back to lab (labrador) . We played in the dirt and got all messy. I didn’t care if we were messy, we had fun! Lab’s owner called him in for dinner then my owner called me in too. I had a bath and then I had some dinner. I also had some extra treats for being a good boy at the vet then after that I went to sleep ( I hoped that I could play with the poodle next door, I didn't even know her name!)

Tuesday 21st September

Hi people!

If you're reading this you know I'm A dog. So Basically I heard my owners parents last night saying dogs were DUMB! I was very offended when they said that because I think I'm pretty smart. I mean I am writing a diary. Today I went to the Shiba inu's house 🏡 He was napping so I barked and barked until he woke up he was very mad he said "I WANT TO SLEEP WHY DO YOU KEEP BARKING YOU ENGLISH SPRINGER!!!" He was being very mean to us amazing English Springer spaniels! But then I saw the poodle next door come out of her house so I went to go talk to her I asked her what her name was and she said "Oh your the Springer next door, my name is Luna and for your information I'm a FRENCH poodle " She seemed like she was in a mood so I just said "well hi Luna I'm Luca nice to meet you" and then…. HER OWNER HAD ANOTHER DOG it was another poodle it was a girl she said "hey there I heard your name was Luca my name is star that weird poodle over there, yeah her name is Luna". I did NOT like her , she was so mean to Luna I mean I knew white poodles were a bit mean but she was TOO mean! All the poodles on my street were mean but Star, she was NOT the nicest poodle. I hope tomorrow I don't have to talk to her.

Wednesday 22nd September

Today my owner took me on a walk. We walked 100 times around the block! I was getting tired so I sat down and she said "oh come on it's only the 98th time, I mean we don't have anything better to do and my parents told me to go outside!" I thought to just keep on walking since we were in level 4 but the other day I heard her scream " YES WE ARE MOVING DOWN LEVELS!!" I thought she was going crazy because it's DELTA and we are probably gonna be here for a while. When we were walking I saw lab I told asked him if he wanted to play but hi said HE was going to the dentist I chuckled and said "ok buddy good luck 🤞" my owner said this weird name she said " hey Luca my name is Olive" I was really confused so I decided to just call her a olive. Well that's all I have to say today bye!

Thursday 23rd September

Ok ok hi. So you know how I said that I was gonna start private dog training, WELL I STARTED TODAY! There were no dirty hands AND I was the only dog there. They started with some easy tricks like sit and roll over. They told me that tomorrow I was going to start ADVANCED dog training (I don't think I'm ready for that). Also I forgot to mention that the dog trainer came to our house! I was so happy to see that I didn't have to walk to the dog training place to do my training. After the training we played a game where I had to find the treats my owner (olive) put the treats around the yard. I found all the treats one of them were behind my dog house. Luckily she didn't go inside or else she would've seen my diary and all my clothes, my sun glasses,my shoes, my grooming station AND my HUGE room. There's so many things I have been hiding from her and she would've found the photo from the dog out (basically where dogs go to relax and where we can do whatever we want). Well that's it for today bye bye have a great day.

I would go to Australia because my mum said they have a sky tower with WAY better entertainment. I would like to go to Bondi beach, probably in summer. Another reason I would like to go to Australia is because they have quite a lot of deserts and I could go see some Kangaroo's. I could go to a zoo in Australia because they might have some different animals that we don't have. I would also like to go to Australia to see my Bubu yaca (grandma) and to see my cousins, auntys and uncles because I have not seen them since I was about 5. If I had to go to any other country I would go to America.

Would you rather go to sleep late or wake up early

 Hi bloggers today I will tell if I would rather go to sleep late or wake up early. I would rather go to sleep late because I'm just used to it because some times I wake up late and if I do that I will be more Awake at the night and I stay up late. I would like to go to sleep late because I could do a lot of things in the night and I'm more Awake at night. I would not like waking up early because if I wake up TO early I won't be in a good mood so basically that my reason why I'd rather sleep late bye Bloggers!

Once upon a time there was a girl called Moana. Her papa was a rangatira (cheif). She wanted to go out to the ocean but her papa didn't want her to, because it was morearea (dangerous). 

One day she didn't whakarongo (listen). On the same her Kuia (grandma) was dying, so she had to go and see her Kuia. Her Kuia said "Take the nga kau (heart) and tell Maui to take you to Te Fiti". So she went in a waka and went on an adventure. She left with her pet poaka (pig) and other pet tikaokao (rooster).

She found Maui. They came across some morearea things like kokonati warriors and a TUPUA papaka (giant crab). When they found the Tupua papaka Maui needed his Manaiakalani (fish hook)., They eventually got the Manaiakalani and left. Maui left with his Manaiakalani but noticed it was a bit damaged. He tried to turn into a big kahu (hawk) but no, HE TURNED INTO A HALF HUMAN HALF MANGO (SHARK)!. 

When they found Te Fiti, Moana wanted to restore the heart but there was something wrong with Te Fiti. She didn't have her heart, that's why she was haurangi (mad) she needed her heart! Moana tried telling her but she was so haurangi she fought Moana because she thought Moana was like Maui -, she didn't like Maui because of how he took HER ngakau! Moana showed her the Ngakau and Te Fiti Marino (calmed down), Moana restored the Ngakau to Te Fiti who returned to her normal self before Maui asked her if they could be friends again. 

Te Fiti agreed with Maui, Maui asked "could you fix my Manaiakalani?" Te Fiti agreed and fixed his Manaiakalani and he was koa (happy). Moana returned home and her papa and mama and all the iwi (villagers) were so koa to see her back safe and sound!

Today we have heard that we are staying in alert level 4. I think it was a good thing to do because we have actually been gaining cases. I agree with Jacinda Aderene because if there are still cases it's not very safe. Did you know that the dairy across the road from our school was a place of interest!? I was actually doing something's that are personal. I also tried some eggs! (They were super good!) I hope everyone reading this is having a good day so far. Remember keep two meters away , wear a mask and sanitize your hands often. The other day I had my FIRST up and go. It was my first time because I'm allergic to dairy and peanuts. It also because the dairy free version just came out.

Fun Facts about Akita dogs!

I hope your keeping safe during lockdown and today I have been learning about Akita dogs. One of my teachers (Miss P) has an American Akita dog! Did you know Akita dogs are super expensive!? 

Our teacher Miss P told us to answer some questions about Akita Dogs. We had to look up the answers. I think I did pretty good!

Here are some of the questions

Are Akita dogs scared of brave dogs: ( Answer) Yes

How many types of Akita Dogs are there:( answer) 2

Find as many adjectives to describe a Akita dog:(my answer) Friendly, Alert, responsive, dignified, Docile and courageous

Did you know that there are only about 10 or 15 Akita breeders in New Zealand and that there are not many Akita dogs left!? Did you know Akitas are built for the snow? (that's why they have really a lot of fluff) Did you know that there's a museum dedicated to them? (Fun fact: the wealthy people held a temporary Monopoly on them!)

Our Tokyo Trip

Today we went to the Tokyo Olympics fan zone. We had little activities, There was pits that we could throw bean bags. There were also a game where if you dunked down this big wave wouldn't go over you and you would carry on, you would have to beat the last person's score. There was also a place where you can fast walk and you have to get to the other side the fastest. After a couple minutes we went to the other side stadium. The weight lifting was kind of fun but it wasn't heavy at all.

 I learnt that 211 athletes are competing from NZ at the Tokyo games. There are 1398 NZ Athletes.I recommend you go there it will be a good experience for all ages.
